Blaize Trailers Walk from Castle Inn, Spofforth

Tue, Oct 27th 2015 at 9:45 am - 9:45 am

6 miles "“ easy going walk from the Castle Inn at Spofforth

Place: Castle Inn, Spofforth.
Time|: 9.45 for 10.15am start.
Distance: Just under 6 miles – easy going.

12 people walked today from the Castle Inn at Spofforth, near Harrogate in North Yorkshire, to Follifoot and then back on a different route to have lunch at Spofforth. In the meantime we had explored the remains of Spofforth Castle (actually a fortified Manor House which once belonged to the Percy family,
Earls of Northumberland).

The weather was rather unkind, being misty and damp. We were joined for lunch only by another Member.
