Touch a Truck 2016
Almost 2,000 visitors enjoyed sunny skies as the Show proved a great family and community event.
Touch a Truck 2016 held on September 11 was a huge success. Around 2,000 people enjoyed sunny weather as they climbed over and explored trucks, cranes, fire engines and much more. See our Touch a Truck website The adjoining fairground rides and children's' entertainments were enjoyed by families from all over Cumbria. Main co-ordinator for the Show, Mr Joe Fagan was prove right in his difficult decision taken in May when he postponed the event due to gales and foul weather. The Rotary Club and this year's president Andy Carter also promoted its activities to the many visitors. Marshalling all the trucks was Rotarian Ray Day and rinkmaster Joe Fagan even spoke on a live BBC radio broadcast from the show.
