President Robin Taylor introduced our Speaker, Past President Mike Stockley who gave us an interesting and exciting talk about his life serving with the Special Forces. Mike told us he was too old to join 4 Para Regiment at the age of 25 so took part in the selection course for Special Forces.
Mike obviously enjoyed his parachute training, explaining the difference between HALO and HAHO. His tales of his emergency pack/escape kit, Danish girls when he had a broken leg following a parachute drop which went wrong and fun with explosives kept us thoroughly entertained.
