On Sunday 26th June we ran a Charity Cream Tea Party for around 100 people in aid of President Liz's chosen Charities -'Canine Helpers' and 'Kent MS Therapy Centre'. Thanks to all who helped make it a memorable afternoon.

The Rotary Club of Ashford recently ran a Charity Cream Tea Party for about 100 guests in a marquee at Spring Grove School, Wye, to raise funds for the President’s Charity, the Kent MS Therapy Centre

The attendees, who came from a range of other local Clubs including Probus, Forty-One Club, Ladies Circle, Tangent, and a walking Cub along with many friends enjoyed a glass of Prosecco on arrival, followed by a sumptuous cream tea with sandwiches, cakes, scones and lashings of tea. All served in attractive chinaware. A raffle helped boost the charity donations.

Liz Stuart-Smith, past President of the Club says, “I chose the Kent MS Therapy Centre for one of my Charities of the year because I have several friends who benefit from the kind work of the staff there, and I wanted to continue to help them with the services they offer. We look forward to continuing the relationship into the future.”

Situated in Canterbury, the Centre offers a wide range of support programs including Oxygen Therapy in a Hyperbaric chamber.

Spencer Goddard, CEO of Kent MS Therapy Centre said: “I’d like to say a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to The Rotary Club of Ashford for their generous donation towards our work. Our charity provides a range of therapies for our members, helping them to manage and alleviate their symptoms. This gift will help us to continue our vital work to sustain the health and quality of life for people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other long-term conditions in Kent.”
