John Harris spoke of the work of the CWGC


This week John Harris spoke about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission maintaining graves and memorials commemorating 1.7 million servicemen and women in 23,000 locations. The CWGC care for locations as varied as single graves in local churchyards, such as that of Andrew Liddell McLaren at St. John the Baptist in Mersham, to the Tyne Cott Cemetery in Belgium (pictured), which has near to 12,000 graves and a memorial to 35,000 servicemen and women.
