The Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary Club organised a recent trip to the pantomime Cinderella at The Marlowe Theatre Canterbury for 31 children from the Oysters Specialist Provision attached to Joy Lane School, Whitstable. The children attended the special “relaxed” performance, which is specifically designed and adapted for people with disabilities.
The coach was filled with excited children on the journey to Canterbury. The party was met by Rotarians who accompanied the children on the short walk to the Marlowe Theatre. During the interval club members delivered ice creams to the children.
Les Leslie, the President of the Rotary Club said “We are pleased that this annual trip was a great success. We are also very grateful to James Wilford of YMS Travel of Canterbury, who provided the coach at a special rate and to the Kids Out charity for a Festive Fun Day Grant”.
