Abergavenny Steam Rally

Fri, Jun 3rd 2022 at 8:30 am- Sat, Jun 4th 2022 - 6:00 pm

The Abergavenny Steam Rally took place in Bailey Park, Abergavenny.

THE STEAM RALLY RETURNED WITH A BANG.

After a gap of three years due to lockdown, the Rotary Club is delighted with the very positive response by the public to the Steam Rally over the Jubilee Weekend, with virtually capacity crowds on the first very sunny day.  The following morning started off wet, but we were blessed with some lovely sunshine on the afternoon of the second day which brought out the crowds on the second day.

Rotary Club President Charles Harper would like to thank the Rotary Club members and many volunteers who gave up their free time to make the rally such a success. "Without the input of the 40+ non-rotatrian volunteers it would not be possible to put on this event and with the Rotary Club members this makes for a very strong and happy team of about 70 people who are committed to the Rally , and not forgetting the hundreds of exhibitors and traders, most of whom return year after year", he said.

The Abergavenny Rotary Club, through it's registered charity, facilitates this annual event, which provides a fun day out for all the family and in the process raises tens of thousands of pounds by the people of Abergavenny for the people of Abergavenny.  If you are interested in volunteering and giving something back to the community and becomining a member of the Rotary Club, please contact David Tod (Membership Secretary) at abergavennyrotarymembership@gmail.com
