During the year, the Rotary Club of Blackpool Palatine collects money after every show to give to Charity both locally and internationally. A percentage of the money is passed on to Merlin, who manage the Tower, for their own charity Merlin’s Magic Wand. This year Merlin decided to split the money raised by the collections between two charities, Brian House Children’s Hospice and Merlin’s Magic Wand. The sum of £6,500 was collected by Rotarians from the club over a period of time spanning summer of 2016 to Easter 2017. President Elect Diane Glister who organises the collections is shown with Rotarians and Circus staff presenting the money, through Merlin, to these very worthy causes.
