Teaching Tailoring in Tanzania

Amelia Haslett is an Art foundation fashion student at Stroud Art College, focusing on her passion for textiles. She has raised funding for a project she is setting up in Tanzania in partnership with the charity Naserian http://naserian.org/our-projects/

Amelia’s dream is to provide an economic and sustainable project which widows in Tanzania can build on and grow. She will teach specially thought out tailoring skills, adapted specifically for the women and using traditional materials. The goods produced will be sold online and in local markets and surrounding villages in Tanzania.
