Rotary Garden Party

Sat, Aug 31st 2019 at 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The club held a Garden Party social event and to raise money for its Benevolent Fund. Tickets were £10.00 each. There was a substantial hot buffet and a selection of desserts.
A raffle was held and drinks were available. A surplus of £528 was made.

After a lapse of a few years, the club again held a Garden Party, this time at 11 Laburnum Grove, Cleadon as a social event and to replenish the coffers in the Benevolent Fund.

Tickets were £10.00 each.  The buffet was arranged for 3.30pm and offered a choice of Chilli con Carne or Chicken Curry or vegetarian and other Quiches, with rice, potatoes, salad and bread rolls. This was followed by a selection of desserts.

Although a little breezy, the weather was fine and warm, allowing the 60 odd guests to enjoy plenty of chat, food and drink.  There was a raffle, together with the chance to play clock golf or boule.

Altogether an enjoyable afternoon that raised £528.00 for our Benevolent fund.
