An event recognised for camaraderie and fostering good relations with other clubs in the district, the image shows PP Brian Smith sympathically considering a heartfelt appeal from a fellow team captain during the 2016/17 competition to allow a brief suspension in proceedings for paramedics to attend to a member of the opposition, injured during a Jenga collapse. Rotary Club of Dundee of course won the District competition that year thanks to perfect tactics, gritty determination and enthusiastic participation. President Andy is now recruiting for this session's Gavel team so if you have the necessary qualities please register an interest with PP Clive as soon as possible. First round against RC Monifieth and RC Claverhouse should be played by 31 March 2022.
