Brandon Blacker the Meridian Rotary candidate, who took part in the Rotary District Young Chef Final on Saturday 12th February at Merton College, Morden.
Brandon was one of seven finalists who came from as far as Chichester and Littlehampton.
Brandon came 3rd with his healthy 3 course meal for 2 persons costing less than £20.
He prepared and excellent meal consisting of Prawns marinated in a garlic and coriander dressing served on lettuce leaves;
Duck with an orange sauce served with Pak Choi;
An apple sponge cake served with homemade custard.
Brendon is only 15 years old goes to Imberhorne School and was congratulated for his tremendous food has he received his trophy from the Mayor of Merton.
