Defibrillator Campaign

Our aim is to raise money to install defibrillators with 24-hour access across Oxford

Welcome to our defibrillator campaign page.

CARDIAC ARREST
 CAN HAPPEN
 TO ANYONE
 AT ANY TIME

In the UK there are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) a year where emergency medical services attempt to resuscitate the victim.

SURVIVAL
RATES FALL BY
10% EVERY MINUTE
WITHOUT ACTION

Early CPR and defibrillation can increase the chances of surviving an OHCA. Through a network of defibrillators, bystanders and ambulance services will all be in a better position to assist those having a cardiac arrest.

SPEED IS ESSENTIAL
USING A DEFIBRILLATOR
WITHIN 3 MINUTES
COULD GIVE UP TO A
70% BETTER
CHANCE OF SURVIVAL

There are current approx 104 defibrillators across oxford, this is a mix of Public Access Defibrillators (PAD), where there is no access restriction, and restricticed (STATIC) defibrillators which are located inside a private building or area.

The number of PAD defibrillators is very low, and our aim is to raise money to be able to increase this number across Oxford.
