Portico Lounge Wednesday 22 February at 6:30 pm

Wed, Feb 22nd 2023 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Rotary Club members met members of the public, local clubs and societies to make connections and exchange information and ideas. We promoted Walk the Canal on 14 May 2023 and the Steam Rally on 28-29 May 2023.

Another successful evening with attendance from members of the Town Council, Abergavenny First Responders, Abergavenny Women's Institute and other local volunteers.

We were able to promote the new Walk the Canal event on 14th May 2023, and the Abergavenny Steam Rally on 28th/29th May 2023.

We also shared our plans for a street collection on 21st March 2023 for Ukrainian Refugees housed in an Abbey in the Polish Town of Jaroslaw. We established connections with Jaroslaw Rotary Club last year when the war in Ukraine started and raised £5,000 for humanitarian relief which we sent to that Club. We are aiming to raise another £1,500 this year to send to Jaroslaw. Watch this space for more information.........
