Donated the books are for the ‘Rotary Books4Home’ project that gifts books to children who do not have books at home and who live in our wider area.

The cost has been shared shared between Eccleshall Community Library, Eccleshall Parish Council and Eccleshall Rotary.

The 4 Rotary Clubs of Eccleshall Mercia, Stafford, Stafford Castle & Stafford Knot are responsible for promoting this project

As from August 2019 the management of Eccleshall Library was taken on by ECCLESHALL MERCIA COMMUNITY LIBRARY CIC. The formation of the CIC was carried out by members of The Rotary Club of Eccleshall Mercia.

PURPOSE OF THE SMILE FUND To make available limited financial assistance towards the purchase of goods or services to a resident of the area in financial need and which will provide an improvement in their daily living conditions and quality of life.

There can't be too many people in the Eccleshall, Yarnfield, Gnosall, Tittensor, Woodeaves or Swynnerton area who haven't come across the local Rotary Club in one way or another.

Dictionaries for Life have been once again presented to school leavers at schools within our area

Rotarians feel that helping children to gain a good education is one of the best methods of achieving a lasting benefit to countries where funds are limited locally.

Sylvia Keris, President of The Rotary Club of Eccleshall Mercia will be walking the entire length of the canal towpaths of the Four Counties Ring in aid of the End Polio campaign during August.

In 2017 our Club together with Stafford, Stafford Knot and Stafford Castle Clubs held a fund raising lunch provided by the Ghurkas. The funds raised were to go towards the reconstruction of a school in the Bhojpur Municipality.

The Hook a Duck appears at various places during the year, and is very popular with the young ones as every duck hooked wins a prize, all for just £1 !

The award is made by the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians - a Rotary Fellowship promoting service to Youth through Scouting and Guiding.
