Megan McBride, a local Scout, presented her plans to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Seoul this August.
She explained how she was selected and how she had to raise money to pay not only for her own attendance but donate money towards the costs of other attendees from poorer circumstances.
There will be an astonishing 40,000 attendees from all round the world.
She is pictured here with The Rotary Club Of Ashford Kent President, Liz Stuart-Smith.
Rotarians were charmed by her story, wished her well and said 'Come back and tell us about your experiences',
All the best, Megan!
