Rotary Clubs are often privileged to partner with other people or organisations which contribute to the success of a community project. In recognition of this, the Ashford Club has made awards to three people who have made an outstanding contribution to local or international causes.
The Outstanding Community Service award was initiated by the late Frank Brake, a local businessman and keen Rotarian.

At an awards ceremony on 27th July, three people were presented with their ‘Frank Brake Community Service Award’:
*
Paul Underdown, Operations Manager of FareShare Kent, for his dedication to the redistribution of donated food to many local charities.
*
Paul Mott, Guest Experience Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in Ashford, and
* Greg McNeil, also of McArthurGlen for making available a vacant unit at the Designer Outlet and their work in collecting material and funds for war victims in Ukraine, and again for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

“We are hugely grateful for the kindness and support of these three award winners who warmly deserve this recognition.” said Amanda Cottrell, former High Sheriff of Kent and past President of The Rotary Club of Ashford.
