The Rotary Club of Ashford was delighted to
support Tenterden Rotary at their musical evening 16th September. “Supporting other Rotary
Clubs in their fundraising efforts is like supporting family members,” says
President Renate.
Money raised on the night was being shared by the earthquake victims in
Turkey and Syria and the people of Ukraine. Many congratulations to the Tenterden Rotary Club on their 75th
anniversary.
Members Of the Rotary Club of Ashford were kindly granted the opportunity by Tescos to collect donations for the victims of recent floods in Libya and Morocco.
Member Reuben Ogbogbo visited the Rotary Summit in Manchester on behalf of the Club.
Rotarian Kitty Brook manned a stall at Wye Church with hand-made gifts and raised £150 for the charity known as ‘Malcolm’s Soup Kitchen. This was founded in 23 years ao in Umtha Walena by Kitty and her late husband in Khayelitsha which in Southern Cape Town. Khayelitsha is the second-largest Black township in South Africa. The charity still continues today.
