2026 (Dingwall 800) Wade Walk & Trail Run

A Walk or a Run across varied terrain of approximately 142miles or 6 miles.


The 2026 Wade Walk will be organised by the Dingwall Rotarians as a major part of the Dingwall Town 800- year Charter Anniversary Year. 

Facilities such as certificates, photos and refreshments midway and at the end  will be available, as will all health and safety measures such as first aid.

Walkers and Runners can choose to take part in the 14-mile or the 6-mile walk or run. They will be taken by bus to whichever starting point they choose. 

The event will take place along the route it has always used from Silver Bridge on the Ullapool road (14 Mile) or Blackfriars Wood ,Strathpeffer (6 Mile). The event will finish at the Legion Hall in Dingwall.

We raise money each year via the Wade Walk, the sleigh and other events. The money is dispersed among local and national Charities.

A competition for young people between the ages of 7 and 17. They are required to produce a photograph on the theme of 'REBUILDING'. L'.

An annual quiz for primary school pupils. The schools compete for the Club prize - 'The Quaich' - and the winner takes part in the North Scotland Area 1 Heat, followed by the Rotary District 1010 Grand Final.
