Rotary GB&I is the overall governing body of Rotary in UK and Ireland.
Each district elects a district governor for a period of one year who then represents the district at national level and then broadcasts to the individual clubs in the district both essential and interesting information.
Each club elects its own president for a period of one year (the Rotary year is from July to June). At the same time a president-elect is also chosen and his then successor is also selected (president nominee).
