FORMER PUPIL REMEMBERED

Old Swinford Hospital " Interact" Group donate to Birmingham Childrens Hospital

Members of Old Swinford Hospital’s Rotary Interact group have donated £3524 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in memory of a former pupil colleague Tom Mole who died in 2018.

Despite the challenges imposed by school closures and severe restrictions on their charitable activities during the past two years, the Interactors were determined to honour the memory of their former year colleague.  During the illness which sadly claimed his life, Tom, who lived in Wollaston, was treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and his family was supported by his school and friends.  Tom was also a star member of his team at Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Tom was one of this year’s cohort who now face their ‘A’ Level examinations this summer before moving on to the careers to which they aspire.

With various events and sales the group, which is supported by the Rotary Club of Stourbridge, raised a grand total of £3,524.65 which was presented by their President, Ben Lewis  to Ashleigh, from Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Members of the Interact group celebrate the presentation with Dale Wilkins of Stourbridge Rotary Club
