Rotary Shoebox Appeal

The Rotary Shoebox Scheme has been running since 1994. https://www.rotaryshoebox.org/about-us/ Each year the scheme sends around 50,000 boxes or gifts to countries in Eastern Europe. Gifts are sent throughout the year to orphanages, homes and hospitals.

Club members please log in for more information.

The Rotary Shoebox Charity was the developed by Rotarians in the North West in 1994, origonally they collected and sent gifts to children's homes in Romania. It was obvious that there was a great need for basic items which we all take for granted in our daily lives and for toys for children.

Now clubs all over the country work with schools and other partner organisations to collect good for the shoeboxes to send to needy people across Eastern Europe. In Aldridge we worked with local schools - children collected 152 shoeboxes for the appeal just before Christmas.

In 2018 over 25,000 boxes in total were distributed to the needy.

Does this project sound like something you could help with? The Rotary Club of Aldridge relies on links with partners and friends to be able to donate to charities and the needy in many areas. Could you help us? Please contact us for more information or to get involved. We need your help to make a difference.
