Rotary have adopted the major section of the Canal skirting Aldridge on behalf of the community. We believe that many of you will feel as passionate about the canal as you do about the floral displays in the village and the areas of seating at the Garden of Reflection, the Bonner Garden, the Cenotaph and the Croft. The canal from Stubbers Green Road to Daw End Lane is a pleasant meandering walk. But there is re-exposing the water's edge brick work, removing brambles, cutting back hedgerows even litter picking.
We have organised work parties on certain Wednesday and Sunday mornings and welcome anyone who is keen to get involved to come along.
