Speaker: Clare Conroy, British Red Cross

Mon, Mar 26th 2018 at 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Our guest speaker on Monday 26th March was Clare Conroy, Senior Community Fundraiser, British Red Cross.
Clare told us about the work of the British Red Cross which is very diverse. This includes such things as first aid training, first aid provision at events, refugee support, emergency response, equipment provision, research and tracing missing family.
Services are provided by 4,000 staff and more than 20,000 volunteers throughout the UK and internationally. The charity receives no regular government support and relies upon donations, bequests and fundraising through events and from its charity shops.
It was a very interesting talk and a vote of thanks was given by Club President Bryan Woodriff for her visit.
Further information can be found on their website https://www.redcross.org.uk/
