THE LEACH POTTERY PROJECT

An exciting new project as Rotary Club of St. Ives and Leach Pottery join forces to raise Travel Bursary funds

The Leach Pottery in association with The rotary Club of St Ives has held the inaugural ‘Potter’s Prize Draw and Exhibition’ recently. Which will follow the ethos of cultural exchange?

Over 30 pieces of ceramics, some with retail values of £500 were donated. Proceeds will fund the newly established Rotary Club of St Ives Cornwall Potter’s travel Bursary which will follow the ethos of cultural exchange.

Leach Pottery Director Libby Buckley said, ‘when Rotary Club of St Ives approached us with the idea, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity for the Leach Pottery to help support the Potters and Ceramists of Cornwall.

Potters will use the bursary to travel out into the world and bring back new ideas and insights back to Cornwall.
