Speaker: Bella Farrell. Subject: Health Connections LBG.

Bella is the CEO of Health Connections LBG.

Health Connections LBG aim is to have a positive influence and impact on the health and happiness of others through connecting and strengthening the community and unearthing hidden assets.

They support people to actively participate in managing their own and others (if they are Carers), health and wellbeing in ways that matter to them.

They value a partnership approach by recognising and promoting the value of community, public, private and third sector collaborations and co-production to build healthy, supportive communities.

They promote the Social Models of Health and Care by improving access to and enabling self and cross referral to all Health, Care and Wellbeing activities, and non –medical social prescribing opportunities.

They share best practice and health information across organisational boundaries through the Health Information Network hosted by Health Connections, and the Guille-Allès and Health and Social Care Institute libraries.

Finally, they act as a catalyst for collaborations and support Asset Based Community Development projects e.g. Voluntary Car Service, Time Banking (a model creating a two way reciprocal network of support, solutions and skills to increase independence, meaning and purpose) and Talking Cafés to promote wellbeing, connectivity and belonging.
