Our speaker was Ciara Simms, our Georgia Scholar. She gave us a presentation about her year over there. She had been well looked after by her host Rotarians and had visited several clubs, bringing banners from three of them. She had studied at the University and got her certificate showing she had completed the course. She showed how she had spent the various national holidays with other students – there were 45 including 5 from Edinburgh and a wide variety of other nations. She stayed on at the end of her year and toured many states. All in all she had a wonderful experience. She thanked our club for getting her on the programme.
She replied to a number of questions. The Vote of thanks was given by Richard Basker.
