The 75th Anniversary Celebration of the formation of the Rotary Club of Pinner, held at Harrow School


The 75th Anniversary of the Charter of The Rotary Club of Pinner was celebrated in style at the Shepherd Churchill Room, Harrow School on Tuesday 28 May 2019.

Guests of Honour were Rotary GB&I National President Rev Debbie Hodge and her husband Michael, District Governor Gillian Pearce and District Governor Elect Frank Quinn and his wife Ros. 

We also welcomed President Andi Childs of Uxbridge Rotary Club and her husband Rtn John Childs also of Uxbridge Rotary, John and Joan Greening from Elthorne-Hillingdon Rotary Club and Paddy Lyne from Harrow Rotary Club. We were also delighted to welcome Presdent Elect Gregor König from our link club Meerbusch in Germany.

Entertainment was provided by the Purcell School string quartet and our guest speaker was Dale Vargas, former Harrow school master and pupil.

A highlight of the proceedings was the award of a Paul Harris Fellow to our own Rotarian Malcolm Mitchell in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Pinner Rotary Club.
