After the disaster of Cyclone Idai Water Survival Box are sending water purification equipment to Zambia

On Tuesday 26th March the Rotary Club agreed to send a donation to the charity "Water Survival Box”. We have brought 7 boxes as picture totalling £1050 which should now be in Malawi being put to good use.

Water Survival Box are a Rotary Charity

Water-Survival Box are for families that have lost everything following a disaster.

The  Water-Survival Boxes (pictured below) contain the following:-

Health and Hygiene

  • Provision of safe drinking water – The 1st Priority
  • Water purification equipment i.e. : Grifaid AquafilterWater Filter and Pump

Feeding and Drinking

  • 2 10/15 Litre Water carriers (collapsible)
  • Saucepans – set of 3
  • 5 Mugs
  • 4 Basins/plates
  • 4 Metal spoons, forks and knives
  • Serving spoon

General household

  • Candles
  • Cotton material
  • Sewing kitsl
  • Sewing threads
  • Scissors
  • SOLAR Torch
  • Bandages – conforming
  • Waterproof fabric dressing strip
  • Soap
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Nailbrush

Shelter and Survival Tools

  • Cable ties
  • Multi-tool – spade/saw/hammer
  • 100 50mm nails or larger
  • Insulation tape
  • Galvanised wire
