An entertainment at Pencarrow House to raise funds to restore the Pencarrow Fountain.

Tracey & Graham Renwick, Sue Flitter and John Harbinson, superbly supported by a backstage team of Martin Broadfoot and David Hudson collectively known as ‘Heritage Theatre’ are back at Pencarrow in March 2020 to help with a fundraising campaign to repair the Fountain in the Italian Garden.  The company is offering a theatrical production in the private Drawing Room of Pencarrow on Friday 13 March @ 7.30 pm, and Saturday 14th March at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.  Tickets are priced at £12 each.  There will be an evening Bar (opens 7.00 pm) and afternoon Tea/Coffee at the Matinee.  So, what’s on offer? 

“The Hollow Crown” - by and about the Kings and Queens of England as originally devised by John Barton, who with Sir Peter Hall founded the Royal Shakespeare Company back in 1960.  All proceeds (after expenses) will be donated to The Friends of Pencarrow specifically for the Fountain Fund. 

‘Heritage Theatre’, have over the past few years, locally performed “Lettice & Lovage” (written by Sir Peter Shaffer) and “Bennett 2 Beethoven” (in honour of the “Pencarrow Quartet”) both in the House (for CRUK, Friends of Pencarrow & The British Red Cross), whilst prior to this the company have performed “Hard Row to Porlock” (Rock Institute for the RNLI), “84 Charing Cross Road” (St Menefreda Church for CRUK & Wadebridge Rotary), “Relatively Speaking” (Tamsquite Mill for Wadebridge Rotary Club and local children’s drama activities) and most recently “Ladies in Lavender” (Perceval Institute for CRUK and other local organisations).
