All Rotarians and Rotaractors across the Thames Valley in District 1090 are invited to attend the District Assembly on Saturday 15th May and the following sessions run by our district teams in the evenings over the following days.

District Assembly is when we plan for the Rotary year ahead. You will hear from Shekhar Metha, the incoming Rotary International President, on his aspirations and hopes for the year. I will tell you how we might take on some of Shekhar’s challenges in our district, we will hear from members of the district teams and we will remind you how the district teams are here to support all clubs and Rotarians in our district. We will also hear about some of our successes over the last difficult year and we can discuss club plans for the next year.

In Saturday’s session we will discuss membership and public image initiatives, and we will hear about the Rotary Foundation and the March 2022 district conference. We hope that all clubs will be well represented at this plenary session.

The district teams will each run a one hour session, covering all areas of our support for clubs. Again we hope that all clubs will send at least one or two representatives. All sessions will include discussion and time for questions. All sessions will be recorded and available afterwards on the members’ pages of the district website.

Please use the links below to register for a Session. You will need to log in access the member's page linked to.  On the member's page for a Session you will be able to access the registration pages for all the other Sessions.  You will receive one email to notify you of each registration, but after that we won’t send reminders.  So please note the dates in your diary and save the joining information safely or simply add each of them to the electronic Calendar of your choice.

I am very excited about the new Rotary year and I am looking forward to visiting clubs and helping at events across the district.  We have lots of challenges as we come out of the pandemic and return to in-person meetings and events but I hope that you are also all positive about the new year and that we can have a fun, forwarding looking and inspiring district assembly.

Best wishes,
Karen
