Meal at Kingsholm, small golf competition a Brickhampton

Mon, Aug 23rd 2021 at 5:45 pm - 8:15 pm

Tonight we will start as usual with a meal at Gloucester Rugby, After the meal those who wish to take part in a small competition consisting of putting and chipping can depart. The rest will stay to put the world to right.

Club members please log in for more information.

After the meal at Kingsholm, the aim is to start the small competition at Brickhampton Golf center about 7-7:15 pm.

Two sessions will run in parallel, one on the putting green to complete the round of holes, everyone keep their own score for total for the round of puts. Second session will be in the range, each person given 5 balls to see closest to 50 yard basket and a further 5 balls to see closest to 75 yard basket. Judgement will be organiser Rod Beardshall, whose decision will be final. Adjustments (handicap) for regular golfers will be made so new/inexperienced players will not be disadvantaged. Rod will provide a prize for each session. If the weather is inclement on the night we will resort to range only as it's under cover and floodlight. This will be open to partners as well so all welcome. Resort to the bar afterwards to give prizes etc

Please could golfers provide a putter and some balls for the putting competition, and a club for the chipping competition
