Conceived in a meeting between members of Roborough and Rennes Rotary Clubs in 2019, a project to support a request from a French priest who was working in Koudougou, Burkina Faso came to fruition when supplies from our ‘Literacy in a Box’ project arrived at a local school there. Père Modeste had been on secondment in Tinténiac, France when he expressed his concern with the level of education available to children at his local school in Koudougou. The photograph shows Sister Marceline and some of the pupils as the boxes arrived in early October 2021.
