Meeting at The George and Dragon, Marlow

Members of the 3 Marlow Clubs are warmly invited to join us to discuss the ’clean up event’. The meeting will be on the 8th February, in the conservatory at the George and Dragon, The Causeway Marlow 7:30 pm for 8pm start.

Please see attached pdf for the links to the promotional video and the links to the District Environmental resource page.

Although this is a District led initiative the idea is that Clubs will run the project in their area in their way! We feel that it is logical that the 3 Marlow Clubs should combine forces to complement each other. The area that has been suggested for the Marlow Clubs to clean is from Hurley East side to Wooten's boatyard.

The aims of the meeting are:-

1) To identify how we will cover our section of river both from the river and bank side

2) Marlow Bridge has already identified volunteers both river and bank side, we know getting boats will not be a problem but we want to pool our contacts of potentially supporting organisations. (We will hold a zoom meeting on the 28th Feb for all interested parties)

3) Discuss how we can publicise the event and how do we make sure the public know what we are doing, why we are doing it and how they can become involved?

Regrettably space is limited at the George and Dragon: so maximum 10 members from each Club at this first meeting please. Can you indicate to me how many members are likely to attend

The next meeting, which will involve outside organisations will be on the 28th Feb at 7pm on zoom

Regards

Gillian Pearce, PDG Rotarian Marlow Bridge
