Speaker: Imogen Bacon, a member of the Youth Forum for Guernsey and Alderney. Imogen will be accompanied by Hayley Winter, Youth Support Worker, at the Youth Commission of Guernsey and Alderney.

Imogen Bacon is a Year 11 Ladies College student who is involved in the Youth Forum, her role is Press Coordinator which means her responsibility is broadcasting what the Youth Forum have been up to, via the press, deputies, radio, etc. 

She is the president on junior debate at ladies college, she has recently been at an event in London for the Labour Party which was hosted last Thursday 19th October. She also recently represented Guernsey Youth voice by speaking at the Guernsey Sustainable Finance week by sharing what young people feel towards sustainability in Guernsey.

The Youth Forum for Guernsey and Alderney brings together young people from across the Bailiwick to represent the voice of their peers, and to ensure the voice of young people is heard within the decision-making process both in the Bailiwick and further abroad.

The group meets four times per year working with government, business and charities to ensure that the voice of young people is considered. Elections are held every two years and young people can enter these elections through school or via a youth organisation.
