Young Carers Family Day

Sat, Aug 2nd 2025 at 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

We entertained and fed 232 guests for the day in brilliant sunshine. As ever, the barbeque, homemade cakes and ice-creams were a hit.

So many happy, smiling faces enjoying the outdoor inflatables, giant bubbles, various crafts and music too.

Feedback from carers:

I would just like to pass on my thanks to everyone who put on an amazing event yesterday. It was such an incredible day and everyone who was involved was brilliant and caring. It felt very special to be able to spend time as a family somewhere that was inclusive for everyone. I left with lots of information and resources that are available to help me as a carer which I was unaware of. As a family we would like to thank everyone who was involved yesterday for a truly amazing day. We are very grateful to have been given the opportunity to spend time together.

'This is such a wonderful event and is always a highlight of our summer holidays. A huge thank you to everyone who makes it possible!'

Fantastic day, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself. The people organising and helping on the day were so kind.

Fantastic event. The whole family loved it and it provided activities accessible for all with some quieter areas and some more energetic activities

The event was organised and run very well. We were really impressed by the amount of indoor and outdoor activities available. Cora especially loved all of the craft stations inside.

Tori enjoyed the day thoroughly. Engaged with all the games and fun and enjoy the food too. The staff were friendly, fun and chatty. Very welcoming. Our family had the best afternoon in a long time.

It was absolutely amazing, my eldest turns 13 this month and said he didn't want to go teeny once we got there he didn't want to leave!!!

There were so many activities for the children to do. It was very well run and we all had a lovely time!
