This year Marlow Thames once again sponsored four youngsters to go on a week’s sailing experience with The Rona Sailing Project.

Testimonials from parents

Thank you for organising this amazing trip for the boys.  They had a wonderful time, gained new experiences and developed new skills.  Thank you for your work; it is truly appreciated.

I met with Toby yesterday after his sailing experience with Rona Sailing and he was absolutely buzzing from it.  He told me that he and Noah had the best time, they made new friends, learned lots of new things and saw dolphins.  They sailed to Alderney and Sark and experienced a storm.  They have both been awarded an Amory award and been asked if they would like to join in a European tall ships race later in the year.  Both boys are now interested in taking up sailing close to where their universities are, so its really had an impact. I want to pass on my thanks to everyone involved in this, the sailing instructors, the organisers and of course the Rotarians for making this possible.

The GMS boys had a great time and the Rona Secretary said they were excellent crew.  The boys went West to Dartmouth stopping along the way at Poole, Weymouth and Torquay before crossing The Channel.  They were both very grateful for the opportunity and loved it.
