During the weekend 25 to 28 May 2017 a large group of rotarians from Croydon Rotary Club attended the annual Eurostar meeting, this year hosted by Club Koblenz Deutches-Eck, Germany.
Each year members from seven European Rotary Clubs, from England, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, meet to improve international understanding, share good practice, develop major community projects in each of the countries involved, maximise external and international support-funding for the projects, AND of course, to have fun. Each clubs hosts the event every seventh year and also money from the six other clubs is given to the host to support a social project.
The photographs show a lunch in a brewery, a visit to a school in Koblenz which has benefitted from Eurostar funding, a boat trip on the River Rhine and a visit to a Roman mine. An enjoyable time was had by the nearly 150 participants as well as helping international understanding as outlined in the fourth object of rotary.
