Ambleside Kirkstone's first ever Pink Ribbon event was a huge success. Participants looked magnificent in the glorious sunshine as they brought Pink Bling & Sparkle to Ambleside. A number of bedecked dogs also enjoyed the walk from Ambleside Parish Centre under Loughrigg to Pelter Bridge, where an Ice Cream Van was a most welcome sight for all the walkers. The icecream van owner was delighted too!
Upon their return to the Parish Centre participants were served a much deserved cream tea, while they sat & chattered with friends and other participants.
Fancy Dress prizes of Afternoon Tea for 2 donated by Langdale Chase Hotel, Sunday Lunch and Swim for 2 donated by Salutation Hotel, W H Smith Voucher and Family box of biscuits and other goodies were awarded for the Best Dressed Man, Lady, Child and Family.
The final total raised for Breast Cancer Care was a magnificent £1406.05!
