Despite the dire weather our Pink5k event on Sunday September 24th was a great afternoon with over 50 participants and 4 legged friends braving the elements to walk or run from the Parish Centre through Rothay Park, under Loughrigg to Pelter Bridge and back.
Upon their return Ambleside Parish Centre was once again filled with Pink Bling & Sparkle as walkers & runners returned for their delicious tea & cream scones. Once again huge thanks to Judy for all her baking.
Some people had taken part in one of our previous charity Pink5k’s while others were taking part for the first time, and some had 'just seen the signs so popped along!
Our thanks to JT Atkinson & The Inn Collection for their sponsorship and vouchers towards the best Fancy Dress, and to the wonderful folk at FoxGhyll Country House who once again very generously donated all their ice cream sales to us for St Mary’s Hospice.
We are still receiving donations but over £3200 has been raised to date – a final updated amount will be published.
Many thanks to everyone who helped or supported us in any way.
