Warm Winter Coats Project : Wrap Up 2024
Again the Club itook the lead on running the Wrap Up Campaign in Central Lancashire.
We started collecting Warm Winter Coats on Monday 14th October until Sunday 10th November and were looking to beat last year's total of over 1150 useable warm winter coats and we succeeded with over 2,000 collected. So many thanks to all of those who cleared out their wardrobes. All the coats collected were passed on to local charities to arrange their free distribution to those in need, paricularly the homeless. To emphasise how needed this project is, all the charties had distributed their first delivery of coats by the time we delivered a second.
We rely on the continuing support of local supermarkets, businesses and schools who act as donation points, and for the support of our neighbouring Rotary Clubs. Again many thanks to those who donated coats to support those in need over the coming winter.
