Mohsen’s interest in Peace and Conflict studies was forged by his hands-on experience in humanitarian relief operations in Iran. Working for a few UN agencies in different capacities, and attending some professional training courses in places such as the United Nations University in Japan prepared him to continue his higher education in Peace and Conflict Resolution. Mohsen was a Rotary Peace Fellow (class X 2012-13) at the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, where he also completed his PhD in International Relations.
Mohsen is currently a casual academic at UQ, looking for full-time research or teaching opportunities with think-tanks or institutes of higher education across the world. He has worked at the UQ School of Political Science and International Studies, doing research in Foreign Policy and International Relations. His latest project focused on external support to Non-State Armed Groups (NSAGs).
