> In operation + home working + seed funding and support for self-help groups

> Weekly meetings have recommenced - on each Wednesday morning. Saturday morning meetings are also held once a month

> An annual deseign and make competition for secondary school pupils - jointly run in conjunction with York Vikings RC and York RC - the three York Rotary Clubs

> Next competition paused for strategic review

 > Cancer Care and Bereavement Garden maintenance - York Hospital

> Ongoing planting and maintenance of a garden area

> Rrestrcted access at present to the garden area due to Covid

> Normally, maintenance is carried out on a monthly basis - paused at moment

 > Münster Rotary Twin Club

> A bi-annual get-together meeting with RC Münster St Mauritz (Germany)

> A visit to Münster is in process of being arranged for May 2025

 > RYLA - Rotary Young Leader

> Identifying and funding for two young people on a leadership expansion course

> Under way and in operation

> Latest course took place in August 2023. A course is being scheduled for 2024 and onwards

 > Vale of York Academy

> Financial support for Vale of York Academy - through a RYA member - who acts as an ambassador.

> Support as and when the need arises - possible funding for a trampoline?

 > Tree planting in York area

> To plant trees in an area to the west of York - in cooperation with other clubs / groups

> A project for recycling children's shoes to thoese who need it most.

Sow, Grow and Share is now an over-arching title which encompasses the various diverse initiatives including Rotary York Ainsty providing growing kits to produce fresh food for participants in the York locale.

York optometrist Ruth Perrott was honoured with the award of an MBE in the Queen's New Year's 2021 list for her work in supporting visually impaired patients in Africa. She recently attended a ceremony where she received her award from Prince William.

Eco Angels is a Rotary York Ainsty (RYA) initiative that aims to transform waste plastic into attractive Angels. For a voluntary donation to the Yorkits project (which helps to change lives) RYA is providing basic armature shaped kits.
