The morning of Saturday 27thApril 2024 saw the overnight rain give way to sunshine up at the grounds of Thanet Wanderers.
Twenty local primary schools entered mixed teams of 7- a -side touch rugby and very keenly contested it was. President Brett attended and had the very difficult task of choosing the team who made the greatest effort for the pre- medal giving march past at the end.
Each team was allocated a rugby playing country. Displaying the wisdom of Solomon, he selected St Joseph’s, representing USA and presented them with a cup.
The Rotary club of Thanet has traditionally presented all the competitors with medals and President Brett said words of congratulation as he performed this happy task.
Gary Rees the organiser from Thanet Primary Association for School Sport or Thanet Passport as it is better known, wound up the morning and thanked The Rotary Club of Thanet for their continued support which was warmly applauded.
