Every year Rotary Club of Guildford organises the walk, does the risk assessment, gets permission from the National Trust to walk along the river, registers with the council, organises the Red Cross and arranges for the ice cream van and the burger van to be in attendance.
All you have to do is download a map and entry form from the webiste www.guildforddistrictrotary.org.uk to complete and bring with you, before turning up at Shalford Park by 9:30 for a 9:45 start.
All the money you raise by sponsorship of your walk goes to your charity. What could be easier. The walk is usually completed by 12:30- 1pm The route is flat and well marked and there are Rotarians there with soft drinks at check points along the way.
Nigel Fentiman is organising any participation from Epsom Rotary.
