David first refreshed us on the work of the organisation.
Bradford Nightstop provides emergency accommodation for homeless
young people 16-25 yrs on a one night at a time basis in the homes of
trained volunteers. Bradford Nightstop also seeks to challenge youth
homelessness by raising the issue with the general public and decision
makers through Publicity and campaigning. The service is totally reliant
on volunteers, of which there are two main types:
Their Vision
To tackle youth homelessness in a practical way, through voluntary activity within the community.
Programmes and Activities
The core service is offered daily. Additional education and publicity work is carried out in schools, youth clubs, churches and the wider community.
He then showed a video about the organisation entitled "Bradford Nightstop - an Overview". This can be viewed by following the link to Youtube: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onT_LYPsq9M
David said that we can support Bradford Nightstop in many ways.
