Trailers walk around the Blubberhouses area

Tue, Nov 29th 2016 at 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Taking in Thruscross Reservoir, the Washburn Valley, Baud Shaw, Brent House, Kex Gill road and the edges of Hall Moor

The walk this month is around the Blubberhouses area. It includes Thruscross Reservoir, from where we will take in the view down the Washburn Valley, Baud Shaw, Brent House, Kex Gill road and the edges of Hall Moor on a lovely descent to Blubberhouses Hall; about 6 miles and not too taxing, although there is a flight of steps to climb at Thruscross. The time of year does suggest wet in places.

Meet: 9.30am for a prompt 10.00am start at the Blubberhouses car park at the far end of Fewston Reservoir.

From Otley, head up the Newall Carr Road out of Otley, past Otley Hospital and the Roebuck Inn. Keep on this road all the way until it drops down the hill to join the A59. The car park is on your right just before the A59.

Lunch will be around 1.00pm at The Roebuck Inn.

Please let me know whether you will be walking and/or lunching, so I can make arrangements.
