Rtn Philip Smith: Two quizzes

Thu, May 21st 2020 at 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Philip stepped into the breach again when our scheduled speaker had to drop out.

The words Quiz Time

Blurry image of a bearded man showing a ceiling behind himUnfortunately today’s scheduled speaker was unable to join us, so Philip Smith once again stepped into the breach with a couple of quizzes. As you can see from the screenshot, we had a clear view of his ceiling lampshade but a somewhat blurred image of him!

The first quiz was actually the second half of one Philip started before. He told us a luxury item that had been chosen by one of the guess on Desert Island Discs and then gave the names of three celebrities. We had to decide which celebrity had chosen that item. There were ten questions in the previous half and another ten in this half. Two members were the top scorers on both occasions. [I got five right out of the twenty. I would have done slightly better using a pin. Webmaster]

The second quiz consisted of 24 general knowledge questions. The winners were, of course, regular members of our Club quiz team. [I did a bit better on that one - 50% right as opposed to 25%. Webmaster]
