Some feedback form our last Colour Run

Vicky:

I would say the event was fantastic!! The set up was exceptionally good, far exceeded our expectations.

The free t-shirt, glasses, mask, medal and good value extra colour bags we could buy were a great surprise and a treat. We wore our colours and medal with pride on our journey home and were delighted to see someone we knew so we could show off our decor.

The Marshalls were fantastic and did a great job covering us in bright colours and also cheering us on. Really very good, very impressed. And the course layout, taking us through the different fields was very good too, broke up the 5K into bite sized pieces and kept my 9 year old entertained to get through the next field to reach each cloud of colour at the Marshall stations up ahead.

We have already recommended this event to our friends for next year and we will definitely be doing it again. We loved it!! Wouldn’t change a thing.

Emma:

I attended the colour run with my daughters, 8 & 10.  We all had a great time.  Really well organised.

I was worried about parking so we arrived quite early but parking would have been OK anytime we arrived.  My Husband managed to finish work early and drive over and park easily to watch us through the finish.

Signing in, getting our tshirts, glasses, numbers etc... really easy. Everyone was friendly and helpful.  Colour stations were great, we all happily got covered

Would sign up to take part again next year

Margaret:

I took part with my 13 year old son and my husband - I had done a 5k before but they had not and it was the perfect opportunity for them to try it out with me. It was a great event - good atmosphere, good fun, very family friendly and most of all for me a genuine no-pressure fun run. We really did enjoy it. I jogged the whole way but was pleased to see adults and children taking part who were running and walking (as did my son) and just enjoying it with their friends/family.

I thought the event was very good value for money, very well organized - easy to find and park, clear as to where to get your number, and a good warm up beforehand. The course was well marshalled and the colour stations well staffed and the kids loved it!

We did not stay for the bbq but I thought that was a great idea and option for people to stick around and enjoy the refreshments - particularly for hungry children!

Thank you to all involved for a great and enjoyable event and we will definitely take part next year if there is another one - I have been recommending it to friends!

Karen:

I entered my family for this event as part of our JTA fit WFF(walking for fitness) team.  We all had the best time. Definitely worth the money. I haven’t seen my kids move so fast in ages. A brilliantly organised, friendly, family fun event. I’ve been wanting to do one for ages but they’re all a bit far away. I hope you are able to run this again as I know friends that wanted a place but didn’t book in time. We will definitely be back! Great to have it here in Witney

Faye:

Absolutely fantastic, great value for money, set up really well, will DEFINITELY be back next year with more friends in tow it was so much fun! Thank you for organising it!

Emma:

I thought the colour run was fantastic, lovely atmosphere, my 3 boys (11, 6 and 6) really enjoyed it too. None of us are runners by any stretch of the imagination! Great value for money and it was nice just to pay an entrance fee and not have to get sponsorship as there is always so much on everywhere and it gets embarrassing asking people for money all the time. The only thing I would change would be to enable more people to participate. I knew of at least 5 other families who wanted to sign up but there were no spaces left when they tried to register which is a shame as this could have made more money for charity. Will definitely take part again if it is held next year.

Gemma:

Brilliant event, would definitely do again. Brilliantly organised.

Becci:
Just got an email asking for feedback, I just wanted to say thank you. It was an absolutely amazing event, really well organised and all of the marshals were fab, from the cadets to those launching paint at us, they were really friendly, motivating and friendly. Me and 10 year old son took part, and we really enjoyed ourselves, would definitely do it again next year. I guess the only thing it lacked was maybe water at the end?

Lucy: Thought the colour run was amazing! It was well organised, the atmosphere was great and the colour stations was a great idea. Would love to do it next year.

Emma:
First colour run I done and I would like to say it was a great day, well organised great fun hope you do another one.

Tracy I wanted to say how amazing the event was organised and carried out on the day. I don't think you can better it. Great price. I know lots of people my sister included who left it too late so increasing your numbers maybe a possibility, but as a family who had never attempted any running before it was brilliant. So well organised by kind hearted volunteers. Many thanks and we will definitely be getting signed up for next year's as soon as it's open.

Lisa
Fabulous event. Hope it happens again next year. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Debbie
This was absolutely brilliant fun! Really well organised and loved the warm up. My 7 year old completed both laps and loved it too.

Tracey
I would like to say I had a great day and the event was well organised, it was my first colour run an I did it with my best friend an her daughter, really hope you do it again next year and maybe the sun might shine next time

Sara:
Just to let you know we absolutely loved the colour run and we would love to run it again next year. It was so much fun!

Lorna:
I ran / walked with 2 friends and we had a great time and got some good pictures too. It was extremely cold when we arrived but we soon warmed up and no one can predict the British weather! We thought it was very well organised and sailed through the registration process, collecting all the bits we needed such as T-shirts and glasses, so this was great. Not sure if there's anything we'd change and a few friends who've seen my pictures since have said that they'd be keen to join me next year. At £14 I think this was good value for money and all for an excellent cause too. As we made our way round the course the people at the colour stations were very good ensuring we all had various colours decorating our t-shirts as we passed. However, the last stretch of course near the finish line - where people were throwing red powder at us as we passed - were a tad over zealous! The bbq at the end was also a fun experience and we all enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch and chat about the mornings events, All in all we had a great morning and would definitely register again for next year should another event be held,

Kate:
Just wanted to say I though the Witney Colour Run was excellent and very good value for money. Would certainly recommend for next year, and I am sure it will only grow year on year.
