Following a recommendation from our International Services Committee, the Jubilee Charity Fund made a grant in late 2020 to the Sith Sewana Mentally Handicapped Children’s Development Society in Thanamalvila in Sri Lanka to develop Vocation Training for their clients. We have received a letter of thanks from the Society with details of the projects on which the money has been spent.
In their letter the Society say:
‘We offer our heartfelt thanks for your support in improving the quality of life of 'Sith Sevana' and the vocational education of mentally retarded children.'
The photos show some of the Vocational Training Projects being developed through our funding: Making Brooms, Making Rugs, Making Envelopes, Mushroom Cultivation, Poultry Rearing, Agriculture Training, Carpentry Training, Teamwork.
